At a time when public interest in museums is at a high, many are now aiming to have the same long-term relationships with their communities as public libraries have. In order to do this, design thinking practices, service design and user-centric design have all begun to become part of museum operations. Seb Chan will talk about his work over the last decade in helping different types of museum transform and reimagine their possibilities through visitor-centric, technology-enhanced design interventions. What might this mean for libraries, and how might libraries better partner with museums to deliver new forms of public benefit?
